Clark County issues 200 short-term rental licenses, but over 500 still in process

Clark County has issued nearly 200 short-term rental licenses since the 2022 ordinance, with the STREET team investigating over 5,000 illegal rentals since 2018, resolving 93% of violations without fines. The county began accepting applications in September 2022, with 174 licenses approved and 515 pending as of March 24. Officials are considering revisions to streamline the licensing process and are working with a vendor to identify illegal listings. Short-term rental licenses are capped at 2,940 units for 2024.
